SEULIPUR UDAYAN CLUB had also established a Mobile Medicare Unit for the aged people ,thanks to the authorities of the ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government India for the purpose. This unit had started functioning from the year 1994-95.Under this scheme, one duly qualified medical officer and one helper have been appointed and a car has been taken on hire. the physical and his helper moves out from village to village for premises on account of their age, aliments as well as bad road conditions.
As per the programme, at least 8 camps are held in a month on per fixed dates and time in particular villages on that people can take advantage of free consultation and free medicines for their treatment. For the purpose apart from the running cost of vehicle and the salary of the Medical Officer and the helper. The ministry of Social Justices & Empowerment, Government of India is providing Rs. 18.75 as cost of curative medicines per head per annum. Although, the amount is too small, more particularly in view of the rising cost of medicines, yet this becomes a great help for poor people as they able to get the much needed medical attention at their door steps.
